teamLab aims to renew the expression and concept of color, and create new colors that have never been seen before. Solidified Light Color (61 colors) and Liquified Light Color (57 colors) aims to create new colors by exploring new ways of expressing color. Resonating Microcosms - Solidified Light Color,Resonating Microcosms - Liquified Light Color Dynamic Equilibrium Color is unlike conventional concepts of color. When they are viewed closely, the color is constantly changing and moving, but when they are viewed from a distance, the color is static and does not change. These colors possess a concept of time on a very small (microscopic) scale, but do not possess a concept of time on a larger (macroscopic) scale. Tea in Spontaneous Order - Dynamic Equilibrium Color Flattening Color eliminates the sense of three-dimensionality of objects and spaces, and causes them to appear flattened. The space becomes a flat plane of color, and immerses the body of the person experiencing it into that flattened plane of color. 일출과 함께 ovoid(계란형 물체)는 주위의 세계를 담아내기 시작한다. 사람들이 밀거나 바람이 불어 넘어지면 소리를 내며 일어선다. 주위의 ovoid도 점차 공명하여 같은 소리를 내며 퍼져나간다.일몰과 동시에 ovoid는 빛나기 시작한다. 사람들이 밀거나 바람이 불어 넘어지면 소리를 내고, 그 소리가 갖는 특유의 빛을 발산하며 일어선다. 주위에 있는 ovoid도 차례로 공명하며 같은 소리, 같은 빛을 내며 계속해서 퍼져나간다. 주위의 ‘공명하는 나무들’로 공명하며, 같은 색의 빛과 소리를 내며 변화한다.ovoid는 바람이 잔잔하고 아무도 없으면 천천히 깜박이기 시작한다.ovoid는 빛이기에 표현해낼 수 있는 57가지 색의 ‘액체화된 라이트 컬러’로 변화한다.

Tea in Spontaneous Order - Dynamic Equilibrium Color

When a cup of tea is poured, it begins to glow with its own unique rhythm and produces a tone. A spontaneous order phenomenon occurs between the teas close by as they influence each other, gradually syncing the rhythms of light and color of the teas.When you lift the tea to drink it, it shines brightly and the suns of the artwork Massless Suns and Dark Spheres resonate one after the other in response. As you finish the tea, the artwork enters your body and stops influencing its surroundings.The light color of the tea is Dynamic Equilibrium Color, a new color concept by teamLab. When a person sees the tea in the cup from a distance, taking in its entirety, the color of the light does not appear to change; but when they look closely, observing the miniscule, the color of the light is actually continuously changing, and creating a new sense of time.A spontaneous order phenomenon occurs when different rhythms influence each other and become aligned. Examples include when the pendulums of two clocks gradually begin to swing together, when many fireflies gather in one tree and all start flashing at the same time, creating a larger light phenomenon, or when the cells that make up the heart synchronize and tremble simultaneously to create the beating of the heart. The phenomenon of self-organization is the creation of a large structure with order resulting from the autonomous behavior of each individual, even though each individual does not have the ability to observe the whole. This can also be called a self-organization phenomenon.It is believed that entropy (a measurement of the lack of order in a system) in the universe will steadily increase (the law of increasing entropy) and that entities with form eventually collapse. However, the reason why the universe, life, nature, and society are able to exist in spite of this may be because order is born by itself through the common phenomenon of self-organization in the midst of disorder. In other words, the universe and our own existence are a continuous order created by the same phenomenon.

공간은 자유롭게 부유하는 빛의 구체들로 가득 차있다. 사람들은 구체 사이를 비집고 공간 속으로 들어간다. 구체 사이를 헤집거나 두들겨 충격을 주면, 색이 변화하며 색이 가진 고유의 음색이 울려 퍼진다. 이 색깔과 소리는 근처에 있던 구체들에게 방사형으로 점차 퍼져나간다. 색이 변화하는 동안, 공간은 구체들의 집합에 의한 ‘입체’와 색의 ‘평면’ 사이를 오고 간다. 구체들이 자유롭게 이동해 제각기 다른 곳에 있어도 전체적인 공간으로써의 빛의 움직임(공 한 개를 1 dot로 생각한 3차원적 영상 표현)은 유지된다. 때문에 집단적으로 움직이는 빛들은 ‘하나의 입체적인 존재’라고 할 수 있다. 본 작품에서는 충격을 준 구체를 중심으로 구형을 그리며 빛이 퍼져나간다. 또한 입체적 존재의 구성요소인 각각의 구체들은 물리적인 위치가 자유롭기 때문에 사람들은 이를 입체적 존재로 인식하며 구체 사이를 헤집고 그 입체적 존재 속으로 들어간다. 떠다니는 공들의 집합으로 이루어진 공간의 모습은 사람들의 움직임(밀거나 부딪히는 등)에 의해 변화한다. 그리고 낮은 곳에서 고밀도로 모이거나 일제히 높은 곳으로 올라가는 등, 공간 자체도 스스로의 모습을 변화시킨다. 근대 이전의 일본에서는 ‘카사네노 이로메(かさねのいろめ)’라고 하는 겉면과 안감의 색채 배합(당시에는 안감이 비칠 정도로 비단이 얇아, 옷을 여러 겹 입을수록 복잡한 색채를 띠었다), 색깔이 겹치면서 생기는 그라데이션 등의 모호한 색채에 계절을 나타내는 이름을 붙였다. 구체는 빛이기 때문에 표현할 수 있는 모호한 아홉 가지 색(물빛, 수초 사이로 비쳐 드는 햇빛, 매실, 꽃창포, 해질녘 하늘, 아침 하늘, 아침노을, 복숭아 열매, 봄 단풍)과 공간을 평면화하는 세 가지 색 (파랑, 빨강, 초록)을 합친 총 열두 가지 색으로 변화한다.

생명이란 에너지의 질서이다.마치 생명과 같이, 공간에 에너지의 질서를 창조하였다.구체는 무엇과도 연결되어 있지 않다. 그런데도 구체는 질량의 개념을 초월하여 지면도 천장도 아닌 공중에 멈춰있거나 오르내림을 반복한다. 구체는 사람들이 치면, 날아가서 바닥에 떨어져 굴러간다. 그러나 아무런 방해가 없으면 스스로 상태를 복원하듯 다시 천천히 공중에 떠오른다.그리고 구체는 입체와 평면의 모습을 오간다.생명이란 무엇인가. 예를 들어 바이러스의 경우 생물학에서 생명의 최소 단위인 세포를 갖지 않거나 자가증식하지 않는 것으로 보아, 생물과 무생물의 경계 영역에 존재하는 것으로 여겨진다. 생물과 무생물을 나누는 기준이 무엇인지는 아직까지도 생물학상으로 정의할 수 없다.한편, 우리가 내일도 우리 자신으로써 존재할 수 있는 것은, 형태가 무너져 가는 ‘엔트로피 증가의 법칙’을 위반하고 있다. 즉, 엔트로피(무질서의 정도를 나타내는 물리량)가 극대화로 향한다고 여겨지는 우주에서, 생명이란 그 방향에 반하고 있는 존재이다. 생명은 고전적인 물리 법칙을 어기는 초자연적인 현상이다.1977년에 노벨 화학상을 수상한 화학자·물리학자 일리야 프리고진은, 자연계에는 외부에서 에너지를 들여와 내부에서 엔트로피를 생산하고, 그 엔트로피를 밖으로 배출함으로써 형성되며, 비평형 상태에서 유지되는 모종의 질서 및 구조가 존재함을 발견했다. 에너지(및 물질)를 외부로 산발시켜 엔트로피를 외부에 버리고 내부의 엔트로피를 감소시켜 질서를 만들어 낸다. 생명체는 외부로부터 음식을 통해 에너지를 받아들이고, 배설을 통해 엔트로피를 외부에 버리면서 엔트로피를 유지하고 있다고도 말할 수 있다.생명이란 외부 환경과 이어지는 에너지의 질서일 수 있다.그리고 생명의 존재 그 자체가 물리 법칙에 반하는 초자연 현상이기 때문에공간에 에너지의 질서를 만들었을 때, 이 거대한 흰 덩어리의 조각체는 천천히 생겨나 떠오르며 생명체처럼 스스로를 복원한다. 그리고 마치 물리의 법칙에 반하는 초자연적인 현상처럼 만유인력을 거스르며 구체는 천천히 떠올라 공간 중턱에 머무르거나 공중을 오르내린다.눈앞에서 일어나고 있는 (자연계의 법칙을 뛰어넘는 현상이라는 의미에서의) 초자연현상을 목격할 때에, 인지 그 자체는 변화한다. 그리고 그 인지의 변화가 당신을 “일상과는 다른 상태"로 이끌 것이다.작품에 의한 인지의 변화를 모색한다.
